Following the sand road to the left from Frikes, one reaches the beach of Marmakas. One should only attempt this with a suitable vehicle since the way there is by difficult sand road.

The natural beauty, the snow-white pebbles and blue-green waters will enchant you. The towering eucalyptuses, reaching the sea itself, offer natural shade and coolness.

Ten meters behind the beach is a small marsh, that up until a few years ago was ideal for mud-bathing. The idyllic landscape is completed by the small island of Agios Nikolaos, close to the beach and easily reached by swimming. The beach is not organised, even though there is a small canteen for necessities.
